This is weird. I'm currently in a laundromat stealing wifi as usual........... doing laundry. I unfortunately don't have a washer and dryer in my apt so I'm stuck going to "Suds-ur-Duds" not even kidding on the name. as you walk in there is a sign for a pregnancy testing center. I'm a tad nervous. I usually do laundry here when I have to do laundry for different shows I work that come to campus and such but I've never had the experience of doing my own laundry at this glorious establishment. It's strange. I'm the only girl accompanied by 6 college boys that I do not know. Naturally they honed in on my mix of panties and bras that are so foreign to them. I thought I'd compile a little list of things for laundromat trips. Here it goes:
1) bring entertainment.
- You're going to be here there for a while so bring something to do. If you're a fellow blogger it's a great time to edit pics.
2) don't forget your detergent and dryer sheets.
- This is where you'll lose money. The place you're at can pretty much charge what ever they want for their little vending machine-o-goodies that you need to wash your clothes. So you can kiss those quarters goodbye.
3) talk to people
- You can meet some really nifty people. I just met a boy who lives in my same apartment building whoot whoot.
4) don't be embarassed.
- I was nervous because well. I just dropped my pair of neon pink panties on the ground that say "what's up" and boy from #3 saw me drop them. His response: Oh just doing laundry. They've probably seen it before so don't stress!
5) Make sure you have enough quarters.
-for obvious reasons.... you don't want to awkwardly run out and have half wet clothes or clothes with some detergent on them.... that's awkward.
