New idea.

A lot of fashion blogs I creep on have these awesome/artsy photos of the blogger in these insanely cute but unobtainable outfits. I'm very jealous of these blogs because:
1) They have super cute clothes I can't afford.
2) Their blogs are so cute and stylish they scream at you, "hey! I'm cute so you should read me."
3) They don't use their cell phones to post pictures.
I'm going to start being one of those chicks with a twist. I shop at thrift stores, and cheap stores, for example the sweatshirt I have on right now as I type this is from Walmart, BUT it doesn't look like it. That's the secret to dressing cute in college, you have to keep your head on a swivel where ever you are. However, I can't take credit for this. My roomie from last semester is the master at this and she was cutting through the mens section to avoid the chaos that is Walmart and stumbled upon this diddy. I'm not even kidding you when I tell you that she does this ALL THE TIME in the MOST RANDO places. It's one of those annoying super powers you wish you had. Enough rambling about that though because I'm not going to post my sweatshirt. Rather than just make cute outfits I'm going to show you what I wear... on occasion. Please don't hate on the cell phone pics, I'm currently saving for a swanky camera. Also, do you remember when I came up with my master plan of making my own closet catalog type thing? I do, these pics are coming strait out of that! I have it on a file on my lappy toppy rather than in a huge hunkin notebook. Ahh, technology. Also, in this particular picture I had literally just moved into this room with my roomie and we were very far from being unpack but I was supposed to work a fashion show, thus the awkward combo of mess/dressing up. I'll break it down for you after you see it.
Oh my gosh, my mother would kill me for the mirror being that dirty/room.  Not my fault, we just moved in. This is probably going to be how I pose in every picture so get used to it. I'm by no means a model. Nore do I aspire to be one. I don't even have a digital camera, I'm not one of those out of control posing picture girls. sorry.
Outfit Breakdown:
Steve madden boots- Got them for half off HOLLA.
Lets call these Seafoam and teal leopard print tights- Target 5$ they have a zillion prints all for 5$ I stocked up.
Black cotton dress- from a boutique in our "college district" i guess you could say. I think it was 25$
Brown belt- Same store as the dress. 5$
Long Black cardigan- also, from the same store I think it was about 15$.

I wear all these pieces separately all the time. I'd been searching for a simple black cotton day dress that I could mix and match with several different things and once I found it I had to get it and it was one of the best decisions I've made. The cardigan is the same story, it has brown stitching around the opening so you can easily get away with wearing a brown belt or brown boots.
