Lena Horne gets her gorgeous looks from her mixed heritage of African American, European American, and Native American. A lot of people think the equally beautiful Alicia Keys look alike. One of the reasons I love Lena Horne so much is because she tried to make a change in the world. She was an amazing activist, working with Elenore Roosevelt and speaking on behave of several organizations at the March on Washington as well as performing in USO shows. When she performed for the USO she refused to perform for segregated audiences or in front of German POW seated in front of African American servicemen. She was opinionated and didn't put up with nonsense which I respect enormously.
