Kony 2012

So many times in life we go through our days not knowing what's going on outside our daily realm. This is one of my biggest pet peeves, when people don't look outside their bubble and realized that their "daily problems" aren't really problems and that many people in the world would be greatful for the chance to have even the slightest bump in the road that we face. For example, going to bed at  night feeling safe in our homes, or listening to a song we hate that comes on the radio.
Invisible Children is an organization I've been passionate about since I was a freshman in highschool--8 years ago. The fact that Joesph Kony is still a threat at large and remains number one on the list to prosecute for crimes against humanity baffles me. We need to make him famous. Just like Gahddafi and many others on the list who have been stopped. The more people are educated about what is going on in the world the more likely they are to stop it.
Every child should be allowed a childhood, it's legitimately the only duty a child has, to be young, creative,  and free from worry. It's our job as adults or even young adults to protect that right every child has. A child cannot help the situation they're born into, where they live, the income of their family, the immediate environment surrounding them, even the toys they're given to play with. We need to be the voices for them because they can't speak for themselves.
Get involved.
Watch the video.
Learn something.
