In high school I used to sit with a table of only guys at lunch. I'm not trying to brag by this... I've been "one of the guys" my whole life. Most of my friends are still guys and that's just how it works. I get crap about it and girls don't like me because of it, I've gotten over it. One day at lunch on a fairly warm day and a lot of girls were wearing shorts I realized guys were saying things about the girls who walked by in shorts. (I shouldn't say all but def this one tool who sat with us) He literally was rating every single girls legs that walked by. This did several things to me. A) pissed me off and I yelled at him B) made me so self conscious that I didn't start wearing shorts again till my sophomore year in college. C) made me look at shorts in a whole new way. I happen to be on the more athletic side and my legs happen to be one of the areas where you can tell. I can't exactly wear the daisy dukes that so many girls are wearing. If you don't like your legs or what ever you're crazy. I realized I could dress around them just like anything else on my body. It was a zillion degrees out and I was sweating because I let some tool in high school make me think badly about myself. Since then I've found styles that work for me and I'm here to share the news! Remember, they're shorts they don't have to be skin tight. All of my shorts are on the baggy side and they're super comfortable. Also, don't let one jerk kill your confidence. Wear what you feel confident and that's all that should matter. If your legs rock show em' off. I've recently fallen back in love with mine and am constantly in shorts and making skirts and dresses.
